Friclicli status update: More UI and README
I have added more UI parts to friclicli and the frame of a main window with keybindings for the navigation is now available. Furthermore I added a very basic README file with compiling instructions and an explaination why friclicli is developed.

--------

About the project:

Friclicli will (hopefully) be a CLI based client for the decentralised social network Friendica. It is written in C and licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v3. The source code is available on GitLab:

Friclicli status update: NCurses GUI

Image/Photo

The screenshot shows the current state of the Friclicli GUI. It is inspired by the GUI from the mutt mail client and my plan is to make the Friclicli GUI look and feel similar to the GUI from mutt: On the top you will have a navigation bar, the big area in the middle will display posts with comments in a threaded view, below that is an info bar and at the bottom you will find a bar that will show you status messages and that will also ask for data like the password in the screenshot above.

Friclicli status update

After nearly two months of inactivity I fixed a few problems that prevented friclicli from reading the API version of a friendica instance it is connecting.
The foundation for making API calls and reading the JSON response is now also in a state where JSON data can be processed by Friclicli.

Next development steps:

- Calling password protected APIs and request user passwords before
- building a minimal ncurses/curses UI to get beautified output on the console
- check for memory leaks and other security related problems

I can't tell when these steps will be finished, it may take some time.

Friclicli: Friendica CLI client

@Friendica Developers

I started to work on a CLI client for Friendica named friclicli. At the moment I'm working on the foundation of the client: A C library (called libfriclient) with functions representing Friendica API routes (one function per route). The client will use a curses interface (probably ncurses). To make requests to the Friendica API the libcurl library will be used. JSON data will be processed using the cJSON library.

The source code repository is here: https://gitlab.com/ncc1988/friclicli

The client will be programmed in C and licensed under the GPLv3+.
